The Hoya Starscape filter is designed for night landscape photography and reduces light pollution caused by artificial light.

The filter reduces light transmission in the area of the spectrum associated with light pollution. The Hoya Starscape produces a clearer image with natural colours and better contrast.

Other filters can cause colour shifts, especially when used with wide angle or super wide angle lenses. Thanks to a special glass formula, this is not the case with the Hoya Starscape. The Hoya Starscape filter is extremely useful when shooting time-lapse sequences.
