This Hoya HMC R1 Pro color filter provides increased contrast in your image and is primarily used for shooting in black and white. The red filter is ideal for e.g. (outdoor) portraits because the red tones are emphasized.

The Hoya HMC R1 Pro (Red) 52mm in SQ Case colour filter provides increased contrast in your image and is mainly used for shooting in black and white. The red filter is ideal for, among others, (outdoor) portraits because the red tones are highlighted, while the green tones appear lighter. In addition, the filter also works well for correcting skin tones and in portraits the facial expressions are better. This filter can also be applied creatively in colour and infrared photography. However, when using this filter, be aware that you lose 3 stops of light (ND factor of 0.9).

Hoya HMC filters are known for their ability to minimize reflection on the filter surfaces, which reduces glare and shadows. The result is an average light transmission of more than 97%, resulting in a sharp contrast and a well-balanced colour. HOYA HMC filters are recommended for improving the performance of today's multicoated lenses.
