It is recommended to rinse all black-and-white films in a stop bath after development. This can extend the life of the fixer solution by neutralising the developer.

The Simplicity Film Stop Bath contains Ilford Ilfostop in a user-friendly sachet with the right amount of photographic chemicals for developing 2 rolls of 35mm (135) film or 1 roll of 120 film when using a 600 ml development tank for 2 rolls at a dilution of 1:19.

Ilford Simplicity Film Stop Bath is available as individual sachets, multipacks of 5 sachets, or as part of a starter kit containing 1x film developer, 1x stop bath, 1x fixer solution, and 1x wetting agent.

Instructions for use

Pour the entire contents of the developer, stop bath, and fixer sachets into separate measuring jugs, dilute each sachet to 600 ml with water at the correct temperature, stir thoroughly until fully mixed, and then use as part of the normal develop, stop, fix, and rinse procedure. At the end of the rinse procedure, add 2 caps of wetting agent to the tank and invert the film five times before removing it.
