The Ilford XP2 Super 400 120 is a high-speed black and white negative 120mm-film that can be processed in C-41 chemistry in addition to conventional color negatives. It has a nominal sensitivity of ISO 400/27 °, but can be under or overexposed to adjust the contrast and balance between grain and sharpness. At ISO 400, the most neutral equilibrium between a fine grain structure and high sharpness is applied. The wide illumination width can also be used to improve highlights and shadows, as well as an extensive range of mid-tones. In addition, XP2 Super is designed for printing on traditional black and white paper, with Multigrade contrast filters, as well as on RA-4 color papers, maintaining the print color neutrality.
