The Kase 82mm G-MCUV II Ultra is a filter with a gold ring, featuring anti-drop, anti-ultraviolet and multilayer coating to perfectly protect your camera lens. Kase G-MCUV II filters are improved, high-quality filters of professional grade. They push the boundaries of durability (lens protection) and optical quality (enhanced rendering by truly blocking UV light).
The brand-new coating technology limits surface reflection to just 0.1%, reducing flare and ghosting effects caused by strong light sources when shooting into the light during the day or in urban night scenes. With a light transmittance of over 99%, colours in your images are rendered true to life — the filter guarantees optimal clarity and sharp images without any loss of contrast.
With an additional UV-blocking coating, it effectively filters ultraviolet rays with a wavelength of less than 410 nm, resulting in more accurate colour reproduction and a truer-to-life image quality.
The frame is made from 6063 aluminium alloy and CNC-machined from a single piece. It features a gold anodised finish and an elegant diagonal 3D pattern, providing strength, finesse and a refined appearance.
Crafted from high-quality B270 optical glass with precision grinding, polishing and multilayer coating, it is ideal for 4K/8K ultra-high-definition photography and videography. The premium optical glass features a new hard coating that increases hardness to 8H for improved scratch resistance, durability and impact resistance. The filter has been successfully tested against repeated drops and direct impacts and remains intact, ensuring ultimate durability (tested with 10 drops of a 100-gram steel ball from a height of 1.20 m).
The anti-fungal and antibacterial coating design effectively prevents mould growth in humid environments, protecting the lens from fungal damage and extending its lifespan. The double-sided water- and oil-resistant coating ensures the filter surface can be cleaned quickly, making maintenance and care straightforward.
The filter screws easily onto the lens, keeping the glass perfectly protected and blocking UV light. You can attach a filter holder, magnetic adapter ring or inlaid ring to the filter to use your polarisation or ND filters.
