The Kase MovieMate cinema filter Black Mist 1/4, 4 x 5.65" (10.16 x 14.35 cm) x 4.0 mm is specially developed for the MovieMate Matte Box.

You place the MovieMate cinema filter in a magnetic filter frame of 4 x 5.65" x 4.0 mm and you can place it in the Matte Box, in which you can also add other filters. Black Mist gives a special effect to your video, where the dark tones are protected against this effect. The filter normally looks like clear glass, but when you look more closely you see that the glass is diffuse, with small dark or black dots in it.

These dots ensure that the contrast is preserved while making the highlights diffuse. The effect of the Black Mist filter is very small and is determined by the amount of highlights in your photo. If you have very even light, you will hardly notice it, but the more bright light sources you get in the picture, the more the effect becomes visible.

It is like a kind of mist that lies over the shots, without affecting the sharpness of the photo. In addition, Kase filters have precise IR coatings, which ensure a true neutral colour within captured images.
