Kase Revolution 77mm PROF ND kit
The Kase Revolution PROF ND kit contains ND8, ND64, ND1000 and CPL magnetic filters, which are part of Kase's colour-coded KW Revolution filter system. The filters are designed with colour-coded filter frames for easy identification and changing. The ND8 is coloured blue, the ND64 is yellow, the ND1000 is red and the CPL is silver. The kit also includes adapter rings, a filter holder and a front lens cap. The KW Revolution system is based on Kase's earlier Wolverine series and is fully backwards compatible with Wolverine filters.
KW Revolution filters are made of shockproof and water-resistant optical glass that is durable, easy to clean and does not cause a colour cast. In addition to being magnetic, the filters are also threaded at the front. This is one of the differences between the KW Revolution series and the earlier Wolverine series.
This kit includes both the standard magnetic adapter and the inlaid magnetic adapter supported by the KW Revolution series. You can screw the standard adapter onto your lens and magnetically attach the filter to it. But the inlaid adapter works slightly differently. It attaches to your lens in a very recessed way. It screws onto the thread of the filter very close to the front lens element and is almost hidden in the thread of the filter. Hardly any space is left between the lens and the filter. This results in minimal vignetting on wide-angle lenses when you attach the filter. The filter clicks magnetically onto the adapter. Up to four filters in total can be stacked, both from this KW Revolution series and the earlier Wolverine series, and the filters can be rotated freely.
