Exposure to laser light can damage the image sensor or its coating, which may manifest as red, purple, or blue spots, or in extreme cases as vertical or horizontal streaks. This filter not only reduces the level of laser energy transmission, but also acts as a light pollution filter, reducing colour cast caused by artificial light sources in the surrounding environment.

This filter is made from shockproof optical glass and features multicoating and weather-resistant coating. It is water- and oil-resistant, making it suitable for use in rugged environments and adverse weather conditions, while still being easy to clean. The magnetic filter attaches directly to the 72mm magnetic adapter ring and can be removed just as quickly. The slim filter ring design is suitable for use with wide angle lenses without vignetting.
