This increases the distance between your camera's lens and sensor, giving your lens a greater magnification factor. The minimum focus distance also becomes smaller. With these rings you retain the light metering, autofocus and TTL flash system (depending on camera model and lens used). The extension rings convert normal lenses to macro lenses.
