The Metabones Canon EF- Blackmagic BMPCC 4K T Speed Booster XL (0.64x) is designed to attach Canon EF lenses to a Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K camera with MFT mount. In the process, the adapter's optics help maximise the apparent angle of view of the attached lens, providing 1.33-stop magnification over the lens' aperture range.

If a lens intended for 35 mm film or full-frame camera sensors of similar size is connected to a camera with a Micro Four Thirds sensor, it would project a larger image than the Micro Four Thirds sensor is built to accept. Able to capture only the centre part of the projected image, the effective angle of view of the lens would be narrowed, creating a "crop factor" in the camera. The T Speed Booster ULTRA 0.64x adapter condenses light from a lens designed for 35mm film or full frame camera sensors and projects it onto a Micro Four Thirds sensor. This allows the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K with a Micro Four Thirds sensor to use more of the light collected by an attached lens, effectively reducing the crop factor and giving the sensor an extra 1.33-stop of light for each of the lenses f/stop settings.

This adapter is made of aluminium for durability and minimises weight, and the mounting rings are made of brass to prevent wear and tear. Internal lens elements are designed to provide both optical clarity and colour fidelity, and a detachable tripod base is included and features 1/4"-20 threads and compatibility with Arca-Swiss tripod heads.

The T Speed Booster ULTRA 0.64x adapter supports electronic communication between a connected camera and a lens. If the lens includes autofocus, image stabilisation and camera-controlled aperture functions, this adapter is designed to enable these functions. If a connected lens can generate EXIF metadata when used with a directly compatible camera, the T Speed Booster ULTRA 0.64x adapter is designed to store that information along with image files generated with a combination of the lens, a BMPCC 4K camera and the adapter.
