The NiSi HUC IR ND1000 Filter 67mm is specially designed for landscape photographers. This filter is made of high-quality nano-coated optical glass to avoid losing even ééone detail. Neutral density filters do not affect the colour of the image and the 3.0 density provides a 10-stop reduction in light entering the Lens.

Adding a neutral density (ND) filter to your lens evenly reduces the amount of light entering the lens. The ND filter is useful when the contrast between highlights and shadows is too great to get a quality exposure. The ND filter can also allow for more motion blur and image detail by using a large Aperture and/or long Shutter speed. A variant of the ND filter is the Graduated ND, where there is a gradiënt that achieves the reduction of light in a graduated, neutral level of 100% to 0% along the length of the filter. The Graduated ND is recommended for shooting landscapes and seascapes, as you can reduce the brightness of the sky (for better contrast), but still maintain an influential exposure of the land or water.

The use of a neutral density filter leaves the Camera vulnerable to infrared light, which will cast the unwanted red colour on photos when shooting with a small aperture. Infrared protection coating has been added to this filter, which helps eliminate infrared light through the lens to bring back the natural colour.
