Optimal image quality
The AG-CX18EJ supports a wide range of bitrates and recording formats. For example, you can film in 30 fps in Ultra HD and 60 fps in Full HD with 4:2:2 10-bit internal recording. With 4:2:2 10-bit HDMI output, the camera can even film in 4K at 60 fps. In addition, HEVC recording in Ultra HD at 60 fps is possible at a bit rate of 200 Mbps.
In terms of file formats, the camera supports MOV, MP4, AVCHD and P2 MXF, ideal for professional broadcast purposes.
Stable and sharp images
The AG-CX18EJ camcorder features super-fast autofocus and precise tracking for both 4K and Full HD shooting, thanks to Face Detection AF/AE. This ensures precise focusing and optimal exposure. In addition, you can activate color-based subject tracking simply by touching the LCD screen.
The camcorder has both optical and 5-axis electronic image stabilization, which minimizes shake and rotation blur. This keeps your images sharp even when shooting from low or high angles. The Ball O.I.S. system reduces friction in the lens drive, providing extra stability even at 24x optical zoom.
Wide-angle lens with wide zoom range
The 25mm wide-angle lens is one of the widest in the integrated camcorder lens industry, delivering sharp images with minimal distortion at the edges. The 24x optical zoom offers a range from 25mm wide-angle to 600mm telephoto.
The i.Zoom function lets you zoom in up to 32x in 4K mode and 48x in Full HD without losing image quality. The 4-Drive Lens System controls four lens groups independently, allowing a wide zoom range while keeping the body compact.
The lens has two manual adjustment rings for focus, zoom and aperture. The different sizes make them easy to distinguish and operate. It also features ND filters (1/4, 1/16, 1/64 and a Clear-ND filter) for optimal exposure in any situation.
Live streaming and connectivity
The AG-CX18EJ supports Full HD live streaming via Wi-Fi and Ethernet. It also offers support for SRT protocol and NDI-HX2 connectivity, so you can stream recordings without delay. The camera also features 3G-SDI and HDMI outputs, allowing you to easily connect an external monitor.
