A red light indicates that the battery has 0-20% capacity, yellow is 20-80%, green is 80-99%, and when the battery is fully charged, no light is on. A flashing yellow light indicates a potential problem with your battery, and a flashing red light indicates a charging problem, such as the wrong brand of battery in the charger.

The charger fully charges 4 empty Eneloop AA 2000mAh or AAA 800mAh batteries in 3 hours. 4 AA 2500mAh batteries takes 4 hours.

The charger comes with 4 rechargeable AA batteries of 2500mAh. After a year, the charging capacity is still 85% and you can charge them up to 500x.
