The PDMovie Mini Matte Box B is a bundle consisting of a Mini Matte Box, a top flag, a rod, and lens adapter rings. The Mini Matte Box embodies PDMovie's commitment to a lightweight and compact design, offering a perfect balance between material quality, functionality, expandability, and storage. It significantly reduces the burden on users and enhances the overall creative experience.
The Mini Matte Box is made from extremely hard, lightweight carbon fibre and offers exceptional corrosion resistance. The matte finish effectively minimises glare and lens flare, ensuring optimal performance across a variety of shooting conditions.
The Mini Matte Box comes with a top flag (lens hood) that is easy to install with two screws. It rotates up to 180 degrees, effectively blocking harsh light and reducing lens flare.
The lens adapter ring is secured via the lens filter thread and is available in filter sizes from 49 mm to 77 mm, making it compatible with lenses of various filter sizes. Lenses with a filter size within the specified range can be installed.
The lens adapter ring is secured with multiple screws, creating a firm connection between the Mini Matte Box and the lens — even under the force of powerful follow-focus motors and other expansion equipment. The number of mounting screws for the adapter ring ranges from 2 to 8, allowing users to flexibly adjust the adapter ring based on equipment load and shooting requirements for optimal stability.
The Mini Matte Box features an ultra-lightweight design, combining a universal rotating thread lock with a multi-point mounting structure for a perfect connection to the lens. Much like the close relationship between a camera and a cage, it is designed as a dedicated accessory — ready to use the moment you pick it up.
The four side panels of the Mini Matte Box can be removed individually for various accessory installations, such as mounting a LiDAR autofocus motor via the four guide holes.
