The Pentax HD-DA 11-18 mm F2.8 ED DC AW lens covers various wide-angle focal lengths and is a 17-27.5 mm-equivalent zoom lens for APS-C-format cameras. The wide lens design and the clear f / 2.8 maximum aperture make it particularly suitable for astrophotography applications, as well as for landscape and interior photography. The optical design includes a series of aspherical and low dispersion elements that help to control distortion and color fringes for improved sharpness and clarity. An Aero Bright II coating has been applied to promote contrast and color accuracy. In addition, a Super Protect Coating, together with a weather-resistant design, makes this lens suitable for use in difficult weather conditions.
