With the Plustek OpticBook 4800 you can easily and quickly scan books, magazines and other bound materials. With this scanner, you can easily create searchable PDFs of all your text. Searchable PDFs offer greater security, reliability and convenience when transferring and exchanging documents, while maintaining the appearance and integrity of the original documents.

Thanks to Plustek's SEE (Shadow Elimination Element) technology, book spine shadow and text distortion of traditional books are eliminated during copying and scanning. The unique 2mm book edge design means you don't need a large, expensive overhead scanner or complicated image processing software. A clear background eliminates image or text showing through at the back of the pages.

The scanning speed of just 3.6 seconds for a scan at 300dpi makes the Plustek OpticBook 4800 efficient in scanning large volumes. Plustek's Book Pavilion software makes book scanning even easier.
