The Ricoh GR II features an APS-C format sensor. Combined with the GR Engine V image processor, you get sharp, high-resolution images. The 18.3mm lens has a maximum aperture of f/2.8, so you can still work effectively in low light. You can shoot Full HD video with a beautiful Bokeh effect and adjust the exposure compensation. The camera also has a built-in flash that can control external flashes. At the maximum aperture, you can capture razor-sharp macro shots with a Bokeh effect. The automatic macro function has a minimum distance of 10 centimetres. As soon as the camera detects the distance to your subject, it switches to macro mode.
The Ricoh GR II is lightning fast, so you never have to miss a moment. The Ricoh starts up within 1 second and has an autofocus time of 0.2 seconds for normal shots and 0.4 seconds for macro shots. With the switch you can quickly and easily change between the different autofocus modes. The camera also lets you focus on specific parts of the image, magnify them, or emphasise lines and contrasts.
The GR II has a 3.0" LCD screen that shows you the image and lets you adjust settings, such as the brightness and the text size of the menu. The camera also has a built-in digital spirit level. This lets you check the horizontal, forward and backward tilt angle of the camera while shooting. With Ricoh's GR Remote app, you can control the GR II remotely with your smartphone and view and download photos.
The Ricoh GR II offers several effect modes, so you can get even more out of your creativity. With the effect button on the side of the body, you can switch the desired effect on and off. You can also choose to add the effects later when you edit the RAW files. It is also possible to switch the ND filters on or off automatically and to create composite interval shots. The camera also offers extensive automatic bracketing. This lets you select different exposure steps or combine multiple functions, such as two different white balances or effects. When the camera's battery is empty, you can charge it with the supplied USB cable or use an optional charger.
This compact camera has an aluminium-magnesium housing that makes the camera feel light and stable. Thanks to the rubber grip, it sits well in your hand and is comfortable to use. So hit the road with this Ricoh GR II black!
