The Podmic features an internal pop filter which, combined with the housing, helps reduce the harshness of plosive sounds. The internal shockmount prevents vibrations from causing distortion in your audio. Go ahead and put your coffee cup back on the table — it won't disturb the sound with the Podmic. Mount the microphone on a microphone stand or hang it from a boom arm (both available separately) for the best results.
