TheSigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Contemporary L-Mount is a compact telephoto zoom lens, suitable for mirrorless cameras with an L-mount. This lens boasts a focal range of 100-400mm and a magnification factor of 1:4.1, making it ideal for both close-ups and long-distance photos, such as with sports or wildlife photography. The electronic aperture mechanism of the Sigma 100-400mm allows you to be able to check your aperture at all times.

With the optics design specifically for a camera with a short flange back distance, Sigma's DG DN series of lenses achieves a supreme combination of optical performance and compactness that could not have been possible with lenses for single-lens reflex cameras. Thanks to the stepping motor system that is optimised for both phase detection AF and contrast AF, shooting with the video or eye-tracking AF is very smooth.

Excellent zoom possibilities

For quick control of the angle of view, the zoom ring of the Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 incorporates a push/pull mechanism in addition to the regular twist mechanism. The exclusive lens hood has also been designed to accommodate push/pull zooming and overall lens manoeuvrability.

Versatile functionalities for ultra-telephoto shots

The AFL button on the lens allows you to assign specific functionalities. For instance, the focus limiter switch ensures that the AF range can be adjusted to any situation. By connecting the lens to the Sigma USB Dock (optionally available and exclusively for L-mount), you will have the possibility to perform firmware updates and to personalise the sensitivity of the focus ring in MF mode.

Integrated optical image stabiliser

If you like to shoot outdoors, there is always the possibility of running into inclement weather or finding yourself in a place where you can’t stabilise your camera. However, that is no problem, thanks to the integrated optical image stabiliser. Every movement is detected by the built-in sensor that then effectively stabilizes your images, both when the camera is positioned horizontally and vertically. Optical aberrations have also been minimised by means of four SLD glass elements.
