The Sigma WR Ceramic Protector is a protective filter from Sigma's top line. Clear Glass Ceramic has been developed in collaboration with a glass manufacturer that has combined the latest developments and techniques ui aerospace with Sigma's years of experience. The result is a range of filters unrivalled in durability and performance.

Extremely strong and durable

Clear Glass Ceramic is harder than chemically strengthened glass and offers more flexibility than regular sapphire crystal glass. Thanks to a special heat treatment, microcrystals in Clear Glass Ceramic are evenly distributed for constant glass hardness. This makes the glassware much more resistant to damage such as scratches or cracks. Clear Glass Ceramic is up to 10 times stronger than conventional protective filters and up to 3 times stronger than chemical glass of the same thickness. Thanks to a special water-repellent and anti-static coating, maintenance is a breeze. Water is repelled and stains such as fingerprints can be removed with één wipe.

Its optical performance is also remarkable: the WR coating reflects only 0.24 per cent of visible light, minimising distortions such as flare and ghosting.
