The SmallRig 5948 mini Side Handle Kit is designed for comfortable handheld shooting. It attaches securely to the cage using the NATO clamp or 1/4"-20 centre screws.

SmallRig 5948 mini Side Handle Kit

The kit includes a side handle, a NATO clamp connector, a 1/4"-20 centring screw connector, and a NATO rail, ensuring seamless integration with a wide range of camera cages. The side handle offers versatile expansion options thanks to multiple interfaces, including 1/4"-20 mounting holes for optional accessories such as remotes (SmallRig ID 3902) or magic arms (SmallRig ID 3873), and cold shoe mounts for monitor brackets (SmallRig ID 2905B), microphones (SmallRig ID 3487), or video lights (SmallRig ID 3286B).

The handle can be mounted on either side of the cage. To switch sides, simply loosen the aluminium connector and attach it to the other side of the handle. In addition, the handle offers 30 mm of vertical adjustment via side screws, allowing the centre of gravity to be fine-tuned for optimal balance and control. The compact and lightweight handles can support a load of up to 10 kg. A built-in magnetic hex key makes mounting and adjustment straightforward.
