The SmallRig 6706 L-Shaped Mount Plate for Sony Alpha 7R VI is designed to enable quick switching between horizontal and vertical shooting. It attaches securely to the camera with a 1/4"-20 screw and features protective pads to prevent scratches.

The top side plate features a 1/4"-20 threaded hole for attaching a Ball Head Magic Arm (SmallRig ID 3873), enabling multi-angle and dual-camera setups. The side plate is retractable by 24 mm, providing flexible cable management without blocking the side ports. In addition, there is a hinged arm at the battery compartment for improved ergonomics and little finger support.

The mounting plate features an integrated Arca-Swiss quick release plate on the bottom for seamless compatibility with Arca-type tripods (SmallRig ID 4353) and DJI stabilisers (RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 Mini / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 Mini / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro / RS 5), allowing you to switch quickly between handheld, tripod, and gimbal shooting. It also features a QD connector for attaching quick-release shoulder straps (SmallRig ID 4118).
