Sony FX-6
The Sony FX6 is a professional video camera built for the professional segment with an eye on the future. You can choose between 4K and Full HD recording at various frame rates. In Full HD, for example, you can record at up to 240 frames per second and play it back in slow motion. With an ISO of 409,800 you know you can perform in the most difficult lighting conditions. The 35mm Exmor R CMOS sensor, 10.2 megapixels and the Bionz XR processor give you a wide dynamic range.
The FX6 offers several picture settings. You can choose between S-LOG and S-Cinetone. With these picture settings, colours come to life in post-processing. This is partly thanks to the 10-bit 4:2:2 dynamic range with 15+ stops. This camera also has the standard settings such as white balance (2000K to 15000K), ND filters and ISO. This way you can be sure you can rely on this camera in all weather and lighting conditions.
At Sony, autofocus is a key point. They want everyone to be able to rely on the autofocus, and you can see this in the Sony FX6 camera too. You can adjust it to exactly what you want. You can use Real-time Eye Autofocus, Touch Tracking Autofocus and Fast Hybrid Autofocus, and you can adjust the sensitivity to your preference.
You have already read a lot above about the camera's possibilities, but despite all those possibilities the camera is not too heavy. The body weighs just 890 grams and measures 114x116x153mm. There are still a few things we have not covered. You can use two types of batteries, BP-U35 and BP-U70, and you can also use the camera with a cable. You can also record to CFexpress Type A cards and to 2 SD cards. For audio, you can connect two female XLR cables.
New firmware update for the Sony FX6. This firmware update adds Real-Time Tracking and Breathing Compensation. The tracking accurately follows your subjects. Breathing Compensation corrects the effect where the angle of view changes with the focus distance while filming. There is also a new recording function for picture cache. This function lets you record video continuously without the memory card filling up or missing crucial moments. Click here for the download.
