Sony RX10 V
The Sony RX10 V is a compact camera with a 1.0-inch stacked 20.1-megapixel CMOS sensor and a fixed Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* lens with a focal length of 24 to 600 mm and an aperture range of f/2.4 to f/4.0. The BIONZ XR image processor and an additional AI processing unit enable blackout-free continuous shooting at up to 30fps with advanced subject recognition. The camera supports 4K video at up to 120fps and live streaming in 4K 30fps.
One lens for every situation
The Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* lens covers the 24 to 600 mm range, while its construction of 8 Super ED and ED glass elements and 2 aspherical ED elements reduces chromatic aberrations. The minimum focusing distance is 3 cm at the wide-angle end. The maximum magnification is 0.42x at wide angle and 0.49x at telephoto. Active image stabilisation combines optical and electronic correction, so you can shoot sharp handheld photos and film smooth, shake-free videos. With this range, the macro capabilities and stabilisation, the lens is suitable for a wide variety of photographic styles, from landscape and macro to wildlife and action photography.
Sharp focus on every moving subject
Fast Hybrid AF combines phase and contrast detection with approximately 575 focus points and 70.6% image coverage. The AI processing unit enables Real-time Recognition AF for people, animals, birds, insects, cars, trains and aeroplanes. Blackout-free continuous shooting at up to 30fps with AF/AE tracking at 60 calculations per second captures moving subjects with precision, while the Continuous Shooting Speed Boost function lets you set the shooting speed to 30, 15, 10 or 5fps. This combination of speed and recognition makes the camera suitable for fast-moving subjects, from sports action to wildlife and birds in flight.
4K video with professional colour options
Video is recorded in 4K at up to 60fps without crop via 5.4K oversampling, or in 4K at up to 120fps with crop. S&Q mode supports slow motion in 4K with up to 5x slowdown and frame rates of up to 240fps in Full HD. With 4:2:2 10-bit recording, S-Log3, S-Gamut3/S-Gamut3.Cine and S-Cinetone, extensive colour options are available for post-production. Live streaming in 4K 30fps is possible via USB or wireless/wired network via RTMP, RTMPS and SRT. The digital audio interface via the Multi Interface Shoe supports 48 kHz/24-bit 4-channel recording.
Viewfinder, screen and controls
The 0.5-inch electronic viewfinder with 3,686,400 dots supports an adjustable frame rate of 60 or 120fps. The tiltable 3.0-inch touchscreen has a resolution of 1,620,000 dots in 3:2 format. The controls follow the design of the Alpha series, with an AF-ON button, multi-selector, two rear dials and a customisable mode dial.
Built for intensive use
The body is dust and moisture resistant with improved sealing compared to its predecessor. The NP-FZ100 battery provides approximately 630 shots via the LCD screen or approximately 570 via the viewfinder. The memory card slot supports SD UHS-I and UHS-II. Connection is via Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), USB-C (USB 3.2 Gen2, 10 Gbps) with USB PD support and Micro HDMI.
