At the heart of the Vaonis Vespera Pro II is a Petzval-inspired apochromatic quadruplet design, built from three groups with two additional ED lens elements. This optical configuration is designed to improve correction across the entire image plane, maintaining strong edge-to-edge image quality while minimising aberrations.
The Sony IMX676 sensor gives the Vespera Pro II a native resolution of 12.5 megapixels (3536 x 3536), combined with 2 µm pixels and a 7 x 7 mm sensor format. This combination is aimed at users who want finer sampling and a more detailed rendering of nebulae, galaxies, and star fields. For larger compositions, mosaic output can reach up to 50 MP, offering greater flexibility when framing expansive astronomical subjects.
Beyond simple automated captures, the Vaonis Vespera Pro II includes features designed for users who want to go further. Multi-Night Capture lets you continue a project across multiple sessions, while wide-field mosaic shooting helps create larger compositions without sacrificing resolution. BalENS real-time processing and automatic Master Dark calibration are designed to improve image quality and consistency with less manual intervention.
This Vaonis telescope is well suited for practical use both outdoors and in the garden. The battery lasts up to 11 hours, while 225 GB of internal storage provides ample space for long imaging sessions. USB-C makes file transfer straightforward, and the integrated hygrometer supports use in varying weather conditions.
