The Viltrox AF 85mm f/1.8 XF mark II stands out for its updated, slimmer and lighter design, and is the second generation of this prime lens designed for Fujifilm X mirrorless cameras. The lens's short focal length matches the bright f/1.8 design, making it suitable for working in a variety of lighting conditions, as well as controlling depth of field and isolating the subject. The optical design consists of an extra low dispersion element, an aspherical element and four highly transparent glass elements, all of which help to reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations to achieve high clarity and sharpness.An HD Nano multi-layer coating has also been applied to suppress lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast when working in strong lighting conditions. In addition, the lens features an STM motor for fast, quiet autofocus performance and a minimum focusing distance of 80cm for working with close-up subjects.
