The Zhongyi Mitakon 25mm F/0.95 lens (MFT) in black is a truly fast and compact prime lens, compatible with Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras, where it offers a 50mm equivalent focal length. The bright maximum aperture of f/0.95 is ideal for low-light shooting and provides extensive control over the focus point in applications requiring a shallow depth of field. One extra-low dispersion element is incorporated into the lens construction, along with four extra-high refractive index elements and two high refractive index elements, to minimise chromatic aberrations and distortion for a high degree of clarity and sharpness across the entire aperture range. In addition, optimised lens coatings have been applied to reduce lens flare and ghosting.

The physical construction of the lens centres on its manual focus design, which is complemented by printed depth of field and distance scales for zone focusing techniques. The manual aperture ring also features a clickless design for smooth, silent operation, which is particularly beneficial for video recording. Furthermore, a near-circular eleven-blade aperture delivers smooth bokeh when working with selective focus techniques.
