The Panasonic LUMIX GH7 is the next generation mirrorless camera that meets the needs of the demanding videographer. The camera features a 25.2 Megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, improved Autofocus, ProRes RAW internal recording and 32-bit float recording, among other things. This camera offers everything you need as a filmmaker.
Flexibility and creativity
When capturing your images, you can choose from a variety of aspect ratios, including 4:3, 16:9, 1:1 and 9:16. The camera shoots video in 5.7K at 60 fps and 5.8K at 30 fps, among other options. You also have the option of High Resolution Slow Motion in 4K at 120 fps in 4:2:0 10-bit and Full HD at 240 fps in 4:2:2 10-bit. Burst shooting is available at 60 fps in Autofocus Continuous mode and 75 fps in Autofocus Single mode. A large 3-second buffer ensures no frames are dropped during shooting.
You can fully personalise your videos and photos using the Real Time LUT feature. This allows you to create your own filters and style to apply to your footage. You can store up to 39 LUTs on your camera for later use. Via the LUMIX Lab app, you can easily share all your images and download LUTs from other users.
Always sharp and stable images
The GH7's Autofocus can effortlessly recognise, identify, track and keep subjects in focus. Subjects such as people, animals, cars, motorcycles, trains and aeroplanes — the camera handles them all with ease. When both animals and people are in frame, the camera recognises each separately. The Autofocus goes even further than that: you can focus on specific parts of a subject. With vehicles, you can focus on the driver's face; with trains, on the driver's cab; and with aeroplanes, on the cockpit.
Whether you're filming or shooting stills, your footage is always sharp and stable. The 7.5-stop (dual) 5-axis image stabilisation prevents motion blur in your photos. You also have access to multiple image stabilisation modes, including Active I.S. for stable footage even in dynamic situations, and E.I.S. for correcting perspective distortion.
Sharing your work efficiently
The Panasonic LUMIX GH7 is extremely reliable. It's robust thanks to its dust- and weather-resistant body, which can withstand even extreme weather conditions. The camera also features a built-in cooling fan to dissipate excess heat, allowing you to keep filming for longer. The touchscreen is both tiltable and rotatable, offering high contrast and excellent brightness and visibility, even in the harshest sunlight.
Sharing your files is quick and easy. You can create a proxy file while filming, which reduces the file size for faster transfer. You also have the option of Frame.io Camera to Cloud, making it simple to upload your files to the Frame.io platform so that everyone involved in the project has access to the footage. Live streaming is also straightforward with this Panasonic GH7 — wirelessly via the LUMIX Sync app or via USB tethering between the camera and your smartphone.
This Panasonic GH7 camera has received a software upgrade key (DMW-SFU3A). This upgrade enables ARRI LogC3, allowing seamless colour matching with ARRI's digital cinema cameras. The Log recording options, rich colour information and wide dynamic range have also been expanded, giving you even better workflow compatibility with the GH7.
Panasonic LUMIX DMW-DMS1E Digital Shotgun Microphone – Black
The Panasonic LUMIX DMW-DMS1E is a high-quality digital shotgun microphone for LUMIX mirrorless cameras. This all-in-one microphone is designed for content creators and professionals who want maximum audio quality without complex external recorders or cables. Thanks to the direct Hot shoe connection, the microphone is powered directly and the digital audio signal is sent straight to the camera.
The DMW-DMS1E features a newly developed large-diameter 10 mm microphone array, delivering clear, directional and natural sound. The internal floating shockmount minimises vibration noise during handheld use, while the included windscreen effectively suppresses wind noise. The advanced wind noise reduction system uses float recording technology to reduce wind interference without compressing the original audio.
With six different polar patterns, the microphone adapts to any recording situation — from cardioid and supercardioid for focused voice recording, to stereo and wide stereo for immersive ambient capture. For interviews, there is even a bidirectional mode that clearly captures both the front and rear.
The microphone supports 32-bit float recording (on compatible models), preventing distortion at high sound pressure levels of up to approximately 120 dB. The DMW-DMS1E also features a backup recording function in 4-channel mode, ensuring important audio is always captured safely.
Weighing just 100 grams with a compact design, your camera setup stays light and mobile. Physical switches allow for quick operation, while the brightness of the directional indicators is adjustable for use in low-light conditions.
Compatible with LUMIX S1II, S1RII, S1IIE, S5II and S5IIX. Firmware update required. Support for GH7 and G9II will follow via future firmware.
