The Sony A7 V is a full frame mirrorless camera that is suitable for both photography and videography. The 33-megapixel partially stacked Exmor RC CMOS sensor and the BIONZ XR2 processor deliver sharp, true-to-life images with 16 stops of dynamic range. Both the bright and the dark areas of a scene keep their detail, which helps with backlight, interiors or landscapes.

The AI-driven Real-time Recognition AF detects and tracks people, animals, birds, insects and vehicles, with 759 phase-detection points across the entire sensor. You shoot at up to 30 fps without blackout in the viewfinder, and the Pre-Capture function records images before you fully press the shutter button. The 5-axis in-body image stabilisation compensates up to 7 stops, so you can also take sharp handheld shots.

For video, you record 4K 60 fps using the full width of the sensor or 4K 120 fps in Super 35 for slow motion, with 10-bit 4:2:2 colour depth. With S-Cinetone and LUT preview you give your footage a cinematic look right in the camera. The 3.2-inch vari-angle touchscreen, the electronic viewfinder, the dust- and splash-resistant magnesium body and the two card slots (CFexpress Type A and SD) make the camera suitable for intensive use.

The Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM is a bright standard zoom lens from the G Master line. The constant f/2.8 aperture gives you the same brightness across the entire zoom range, which helps in low light. The circular aperture with nine blades creates beautiful bokeh, for example in portraits.

The optical design with three aspherical elements, including one extreme aspherical (XA) element, and two ED elements limits distortion and spherical aberration across the entire zoom range. The Nano AR coating increases contrast and reduces flare and ghosting. The Direct Drive Super Sonic Wave Motor focuses quickly and quietly, and thanks to the dust- and moisture-resistant construction you can work with confidence even in less favourable weather.
