The AirTag has a built-in speaker and can play a sound to guide you to the exact location. In the 'Find My' app, where you can also find all your other Apple devices, you can see the location of the AirTag. Or simply ask Siri where your wallet is. If it is nearby, the AirTag will play a sound to steer you in the right direction. If you are close with your iPhone, you can also use 'Precise search'* to reach the AirTag by means of arrows and distances.
Did you leave your keys somewhere or did you lose them on the way? Even if the AirTag is not nearby, it will reveal its location. To do this, it sends out a secured Bluetooth signal that is displayed on the map in the Find My app via iCloud. This process is anonymous and encrypted to ensure your privacy. You are also the only one who can see where the AirTag is. Location data and history are not saved and devices that provide the location remain anonymous.
By enabling 'Lost Mode' you will automatically receive a notification if the AirTag is detected by a device in the network. You can also set the finder to receive your contact details as soon as he or she taps the AirTag with a smartphone with NFC.
