The Atomos Ninja V 4K HDMI recording monitor is a 5 inch monitor / recorder that can be mounted on the camera. The Ninja V can record and play DCI 4K, UHD 4K and HD video from specially built mini SSDs. The device has a 10-bit FRC IPS screen with a brightness of 1000 CD / m², so that it can be used both indoors and outdoors. With AtomHDR rendering technology, you can accurately track your log gamma recordings without having to view flat, pale images or use a Look Up Table (LUT) to compress the dynamic range and color space. The monitor supports popular log formats from Sony, Canon, Panasonic, ARRI, RED and JVC cameras. The settings only affect the playback, while the recorded video remains unchanged. The Ninja V is built to withstand the testing of a production and has an aluminum chassis and is powered by a single L-series battery. Additional functions include various exposure analyzes on the screen, frame and focussing tools. A power supply and an SSD caddy are included with the unit.

AtomHDR

With AtomHDR you can follow up to ten stops of the dynamic range of your camera's LOG image. Most conventional monitors can only display six or seven stops, which is great for standard images; but a log image looks too flat.
