The camera is equipped with a full-frame 24x36mm 6K sensor with a large dynamic range, an Active L mount for lenses and a built-in optical 'low pass' filter that is specially designed for the sensor. The camera has a huge full-frame sensor of 6048 x 4032 pixels, which is almost three times larger than a Super 35 sensor. This makes it possible to shoot with a shallow depth of field or to use anamorphic lenses that are not cropped for a truly cinematic appearance. With a dynamic range of 13 stops with double native ISO up to 25,600, you can create stunning images with low noise in all lighting conditions. Plus, you can record up to 36 fps at full sensor resolution or up to 120 fps in the window.

The large full-frame sensor in the Blackmagic cinema camera 6K allows you to work in different film formats and aspect ratios without sacrificing quality. The unique 3:2 open port image allows you to reframe shots during post-production. It is also possible to work in 6:5 format without cropping and you can choose the classic Super 35 format to immediately create a close-up version of your recording. The camera body is made from a lightweight carbon fiber-polycarbonate composite and has a multi-function handle with all shooting, ISO, white balance and shutter speed controls at your fingertips.
