The Blackmagic Design UltraStudio Express Recorder 3G is a compact capture card for video input that records 3G-SDI and HDMI sources in all SD and HD video standards up to 1080p60. The USB4 connection lets you connect it to Mac, Windows, and Linux computers with a USB4 or Thunderbolt 4 port. The card draws power via the USB cable, so it also works on a laptop battery. This makes it suitable for on-location recordings, live streaming, and archiving.
The 10-bit video recording in 4:2:2 YUV or RGB delivers broadcast-quality images in compressed and uncompressed formats. The UltraStudio Express Recorder 3G works via the DeckLink API and is compatible with virtually all popular video software, including DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, Fusion, After Effects, and streaming software such as OBS.
