The Blackmagic PYXIS monitor is a versatile 5" HDR touchscreen monitor with full camera control that can be mounted almost anywhere! The Blackmagic PYXIS monitor EVF kit includes the monitor, foldable lens hood, lockable USB cable, PYXIS mounts and URSA Cine EVF mounts to attach the monitor to Blackmagic PYXIS and Blackmagic URSA Cine cameras. The Blackmagic PYXIS monitor EVF kit includes everything needed to use the PYXIS monitor as an electronic viewfinder.

The PYXIS monitor offers the same controls and overlays as the PYXIS built-in LCD, so it is perfect for use when rigging or accessories block the internal screen. Multiple mounting points make it easy to attach it to any camera rig and use it as a large viewfinder for easier focusing and framing. Or use it as an assist station, allowing crew to frame and check shots from any position on set! There are 3 customisable buttons for quick access to zebra, focus assist, false colour and more. Plus, the bright 1500 nit screen and removable lens hood ensure visibility even in sunlight!

The innovative side plates extend the riggability of your camera even further! The standard plate that comes with Blackmagic PYXIS is made of the same aircraft aluminium as the camera body and features two 1/4" threaded mounts and one 3/8" threaded mount, so you can add microphones, brackets or other accessories. Or you can attach the included SSD plate, which provides a convenient location to securely attach a USB-C drive for recording or even a mobile phone for live streaming! The optional Rosette Plate gives you maximum flexibility with five 1/4" threaded mounts and four 3/8" threaded mounts for adding accessories, plus a rosette mount for attaching handles or extension arms!

Blackmagic PYXIS records in Blackmagic RAW to maintain control over detail, exposure and colour during post-production. It also records HD H.264 proxies in real time, making it easy to share media around the world in minutes! Blackmagic RAW is highly optimised, multi-threaded, runs on multiple CPU cores and is also GPU-accelerated to work with Apple Metal, CUDA and OpenCL. This means your images always retain unprecedented resolution and quality for colour, keying, compositing, reframing, stabilisation and tracking in HD, 4K or 6K. Media files work on all operating systems and you can format media cards and drives in HFS+ for Mac and ExFAT for Windows.

The Blackmagic PYXIS features two built-in CFexpress card recorders and a USB-C expansion port for direct recording to external flash media drives or an SSD. CFexpress media is more durable and faster than even older media, making it perfect for recording full-resolution, 12-bit Blackmagic RAW files. Imagine capturing over an hour of full-resolution 6K images on a single 256GB CFexpress card! And with two CFexpress slots, you can keep recording because you can hotswap entire cards without stopping! The very high speed of CFexpress cards makes them perfect for editing on your computer and for editing directly from with the included DaVinci Resolve Studio software!
