The Braun Multimag SlideScan 7000 is a scanner that has been optimised for digitising large volumes of slides. The scanner can scan entire slide magazines in batch mode and can even automatically recognise whether the frames are landscape or portrait. The scanner's CCD sensor offers a maximum resolution of 10,000 dpi. The Braun Multimag SlideScan 7000 with a colour depth of up to 48 bit, indicates the maximum density with a 4.2, so you can calculate a density range of less than 4. With the Magic Touch correction procedure, detected heights and depths are corrected to the surrounding pixels during the correction process.

The Braun Multimag SlideScan 7000 can process mounted slides from Universal, CS, LKM and Paximat magazines. The scanner scans the inserted slides using an LED light source. Plus, there's an integrated infrared channel which samples the film material on mounts and depths, to detect scratches and dust. This is known as the automatic scratch and dust removal function. If you turn this off, you can also process black & white films.

The scanner is a compact device, measuring 300x290x125 mm and weighing 2.9 kg. There are just 3 additional buttons on the front of the Braun Multimag SlideScan 7000. Press the black dot button to initiate a single scan in the CyberView scanning software. With the arrow keys you can move an inserted slide magazine one slide forward and back. Plus, there is a small light field into which you can place a mounted slide to view it at your leisure under the light.
