The Canon 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 DC III is a high-quality standard zoom lens that's especially attractive for photographers who like to travel lightly. With an equivalent focal length of 29-88 mm by 35 mm, the wide zoom range makes this lens perfect for versatile photography. In close-up photography, the autofocus system remains active across the whole zoom range up to distances of just 0.25 m (25 cm). In addition to true-to-life colour balance and sharp high-contrast images, the Super Spectra coatings also ensure that reflections and glare do not affect the result. This is achieved by absorbing light that is reflected by the camera's sensor or the internal lens elements. An aspherical lens element ensures razor-sharp high-contrast images - even at full aperture.
