The focus also works in tricky lighting conditions, up to -4EV. In addition to 4K video, you also have the option to film in Full HD at up to 60fps and HD at up to 119.9 fps. The camera has a Vertical Movie mode for automatic vertical recording. You can then use it straight away on Instagram, for example. The camera's compact housing fits snugly in the hand and is ideal therefore for vlogging. This also includes livestreams. Canon has equipped the EOS M50 Mark II with the option to stream directly to YouTube via Wi-Fi, without needing a laptop or streaming device. You'll need an image.canon account for this, and a YouTube channel with over 1,000 subscribers. You also have the option to stream using the EOS Webcam Utility or HDMI. The latter can be done with or without info (Clean HDMI), up to an image resolution of 4K. For optimal audio results, the camera has a microphone jack for external microphones. With a standard zoom providing wide-angle to short telephoto perspectives, the Canon EF-M 15-45mm F/3.5-6.3 IS STM has a 24-72mm equivalent focal length when used with an APS-C format EOS-M series mirrorless camera. The optical design includes three aspherical elements, one of which is glass-moulded and the other two precision-moulded, to control chromatic aberrations and distortions across the full zoom range. The lens is coated to reduce flare and ghosting for enhanced contrast and brightness when shooting in tricky lighting conditions.

The Canon EF-M 15-45mm F/3.5-6.3 IS STM has a built-in Optical Image Stabiliser to minimise camera shake, with up to 3.5 stops. The built-in STM stepper motor provides fast, easy and super silent autofocus performance for photos and videos. For added control, full-time manual focus is available for fine-tuning the focus.
