Canon ME200S-SH Multi-Purpose Camera

The Canon ME200S-SH Multi-Purpose Camera uses an 8.29-megapixel Super35mm CMOS sensor and can produce professional Full HD 1080p/1080i/720p output that can be recorded to an external recorder with up to 12-stops of dynamic range in Canon Log or Wide DR mode. Reduced motion blur with support for frame rates up to 50P/59.94P allows for slow-motion filming.

The Canon ME200S-SH is perfect for a wide range of broadcast applications, including low-light capture and remote performance in light-critical situations thanks to a maximum equivalent ISO of 204,800. The camera also has the ability to capture infrared in colour, employing a retractable infrared cut filter that can be activated at the press of a button.

The Canon ME200S-SH is equipped with Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus, which enables continuous AF with compatible EF lenses. This sensor-based phase-detection technology is designed to provide smooth, high-performance continuous focus. It is a unique, Canon-developed technology that helps maximise the creative options offered by fast lenses and shallow depth-of-field. Electronically controlled ND filters also allow greater control over the image, while multiple Custom Picture settings can be saved and recalled for later use.

The small, compact, and lightweight ME200S-SH features extensive connection options for a monitor, output to an external recorder and remote control, including HDMI out, Genlock and two 3G/HD-SDI terminals. Remote control is possible via two sockets, including a 2.5mm jack and RS-422 terminal for the Canon Remote Controller RC-V100.

With an EF mount with Cinema Lock, the ME200S-SH will support a wide selection of compatible EF/EF-S lenses from the Canon product range, including zooms, primes and selected Canon Servo lenses (with a 12-pin interface) for greater control and creative possibilities.
