Description
Cinestill DF 96 Monobath
The Cinestill DF 96 Monobath makes developing your black-and-white film a lot easier. Worries about too much development, dilution or time are no longer necessary. Many pitfalls and dangers of a multiple-bath process are eliminated with this turnkey solution. Overprocessing is impossible, creating a better image and finer grain.
The negatives are developed within 3-6 minutes. Five minutes of washing is sufficient to achieve archival standards. This selfëinding process is fully archived and encourages the development of shadows, while highlights are finished by over-processing.
If you have a processing tank and know the room temperature, you have everything you need to develop at home. Determine the temperature of the ready-to-use solution, choose the recommended time/stir combination on the label and pour. With 1 litre of reusable monobath solution, you can develop about 16 rolls of film. Pour the used chemistry back into the bottle and add 15 seconds for each roll previously processed. After that, wait for 8 minutes. The film can also develop after the chemicals have been expelled. Keep in mind which requires extra time, as additional fixation may be needed.
The shelf life is 1 year after purchase. After opening, you should use the product within 2 months. The chemicals turn yellow as they age and orange-yellow (amber) when they have decayed.
