The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 is the successor to the popular Pocket 3 and delivers a significant improvement in almost every area. The camera fits in your pocket, yet delivers image quality you’d expect from much larger cameras. Whether you’re vlogging, traveling, or want to shoot professional footage: the Pocket 4 has you covered!

The 1-inch CMOS sensor with an f/2.0 aperture captures sharp images. Thanks to the large aperture, the sensor can gather more light and creates a beautiful, soft background blur for portraits. You can shoot in 4K at 240fps slow motion—double the Pocket 3 (4K/120fps)—for an even better slow-motion effect. Dynamic range has been increased to 14 stops, so you can effortlessly capture bright sunlight and deep shadows in a single shot. The new 10-bit D-Log color profile gives you more room in post-production to apply your own mood and creativity in color grading.

The Pocket 4 also features ActiveTrack 7.0 with Intelligent Autofocus. This function allows the camera to automatically follow your subject, even when using the 4× zoom. Want to film yourself from a distance? With Gesture Control, you can easily start and stop recordings using hand gestures. Creative features such as SpinShot, Motionlapse, and Slow Shutter Video give you extra options that the Pocket 3 didn’t have yet. 

The mechanical 3-axis gimbal keeps your footage stable, whether you’re walking, cycling, or filming from a vehicle. With 2× lossless zoom, you can bring subjects closer without any loss in quality. Another difference compared to the Pocket 3 is that zoom now also works in ActiveTrack and D-Log mode. In addition, the rotatable 2-inch OLED touchscreen with 1000 nits is easy to read even in direct sunlight.

On the audio side, the Pocket 4 takes a big step forward. You can connect DJI Mic transmitters directly for OsmoAudio 4-channel recording. You capture speech and ambient sound separately, giving you full control over your audio in post-production. Spatial Audio provides an immersive listening experience via headphones, and Audio Zoom automatically adjusts the sound when you zoom in or out. The Pocket 3 only offered Spatial Audio, without 4-channel recording.

Finally, the Pocket 4 has 107 GB of internal storage, whereas the Pocket 3 relied entirely on a microSD card. You can transfer files at up to 800 MB/s via USB 3.1, and it also works wirelessly. With the DJI 65W charger, the battery reaches 80% in 18 minutes. You can record for up to 240 minutes in 1080p/24fps, which is 74 minutes more than the Pocket 3.
