Description
A Gitzo tripod naturally includes a Gitzo head. The advantage of Gitzo is that certain heads are tuned to certain tripods. You take the number of a tripod, e.g. from the 2-series the 1228, and then take a 2-series head with it, e.g. the 1276, or the 1278. To a 1548, for example, you would then fit a 1570, and to a 1027 you would take a 1077 head, for example.
The off-centre heads have independent pan and tilt controls, a sturdy base and ultra-light magnesium components. You can control friction or tighten the head completely in 1 move. The series 2 off-centre heads are specially recommended with Gitzo Explorer tripods.
