The GoPro HERO is GoPro's smallest 4K camera* and weighs just 86 grams, about 40% smaller than the HERO12. The GoPro HERO is the perfect action cam for those looking for an ultra-compact action camera, but don't want to compromise on image quality or usability.

The GoPro HERO lets you shoot 4K videos in 30fps (frames per second) or 2.7K slow-motion shots in 60fps. You can also take 12-megapixel photos with the HERO. The action cam has a 60-minute battery life, is waterproof up to 5 metres and has the resistance you've come to expect from GoPro. It has the famous HERO mounting plates, so you can use it with all kinds of GoPro mounts. So take it on holiday or shoot cool (water) sports footage with no worries.

The GoPro HERO has very simple controls; one press of the shutter button starts your video or takes a picture. It also features voice control with 8 commands. Position your shot via the bright LCD touchscreen on the back. The screen also makes it easy to choose the right shooting mode and adjust preferences.

Once you've captured a shot, you can easily review and edit it via the GoPro Quik app. Connect your camera to your Wi-Fi network and your footage is automatically uploaded. The app includes several editing tools. You can zoom in, crop and add filters, among other things. The app also uses HyperSmooth video stabilisation to compensate for unevenness in your shots and generate stable videos without shake.
