Description
The Hoya 67mm Digital Filter Kit II consists of three filters that together form a complete set that cover the basic needs of every photographer. These filters are suitable for daily use and allow you to maximise your creativity when taking photos. This Hoya Digital Filter Kit II contains a UV(C) filter, a Circular Polarising filter and an ND filter, all with a filter size of 67 mm.
UV HMC C filter
Using a UV filter reduces colour cast, corrects blue and violet hues in colour photos and makes blacks and whites in B&W photos more crisp. The multi-coating reduces unwanted reflections. A UV filter can also be simply used to protect multi-coated lenses against damage such as scratches, and to reduce the UV light. The UV filter has a filter factor of zero and does not impact exposure.
Circular Polarising filter
Polarising filters are often used in special situations. They are a bit bluer than a UV filter. This means, among other things, that it reduces the light by one or more steps. It is therefore not recommended to use a CP filter indoors or at night. CP filters are perfect for landscape photography. By rotating the CP filter, you can reduce or increase the amount of blue in your shot, excellent for photos of clear blue skies for instance. CP filters can also be used to play around with reflections from water. Decide whether you want the water surface to reflect the light, or whether you want to look through the surface to what's beneath.
NDx8 filter
An ND filter reduces the amount of light that enters through the lens, but does not affect the colours in your photo. This allows you to use faster shutter speeds or a larger aperture. This is perfect for photographing running water or cloudy skies, or working with a smaller depth of field. This ND filter reduces the light by 3 stops.
