Description
HOYA Variable Density II
The HOYA Variable Density II filter is a solid variable neutral density filter that provides an exposure reduction of approximately 1.5 to 9 stops. The biggest improvement over the previous model is that the operation has been improved with a rotating frame and convenient knob. The density of 0.45 to 2.77 darkens the entire image, allowing you to shoot with a wider aperture or a longer shutter speed than would normally be required. The degree of density can be easily adjusted by turning the front filter ring, allowing you to predetermine the additional exposure length required. By slowing down your exposure time or widening your aperture, you can control depth of field and convey movement more easily.
This filter is made of optical glass to maintain image clarity and is set in a slim aluminium profile ring. The specific structure of the filter frame of the HOYA Variable Density II filter allows a larger size lens cap to be attached than the size of the filter itself. For this, calculate one filter size larger.
Features of the HOYA variable density II:
- Easy to use model
- Variable 0.45-2.7 neutral density filter
- Reduces exposure by 1.5-9 stops
- Darks the entire image
- More control over exposure settings
- Extended shutter speed possible
- Enables larger aperture
- Optical glass construction
