Ilford Multigrade RC Deluxe 44M 12.7 x 17.8cm 100 sheets is very versatile and well suited to all traditional black and white printing needs. This paper has a pearl 44M surface finish that has a more textured appearance than glossy paper to reduce overwhelming surface reflections , but still retains some reflection to achieve deeper blacks for a longer visible tone scale. This Generation V paper has an updated emulsion with a more linear contrast profile that responds consistently and accurately to the full 00-5 range of Multigrade filters for fine-tuning the appearance of prints.
The paper also has a true neutral base tone and responds particularly well to different colour solutions for adjusting the final print colour. The enhanced emulsion also provides deeper blacks and improved separation of midtones for greater flexibility when printing negatives of different densities and is also suitable for printing both conventional black-and-white negatives and chromogenic black-and-white negatives and the paper can be processed using standard black-and-white chemistry in both trays or using machine processors.
