Description
Kite Optics Stabilised Binoculars BINO APC STABILIZED 10x30
The Kite Optics Stabilised Binoculars BINO APC STABILIZED 10x30 offers the latest technology in binocular image stabilisation. There are other stabilised binoculars on the market, but none compare to these.
One very important difference is the correction angle. Most contemporary stabilised binoculars offer a correction angle of 0.5° to 1°. That means a correction of 0.8 to 1.7 metres at a distance of 100 metres. Hand trembling, observing on a windy day or getting out of breath after a walk will easily cause image instability greater than these values. The KITE APC stabilised binoculars feature a new technology that allows the instrument to correct image instability by 3°, or 5.3 metres at a distance of 100 metres, or 53 metres at 1000 metres. In other words, 6 times more. This enables perfectly stable images, not only of a shaky hand, but even of a moving car or boat in strong sea.
This very compact and lightweight instrument is also packed with intelligent functions. Powered by two AA batteries, the most common battery format worldwide, the electronics ensure that the instrument lasts for 36 hours. But to ensure that not a second of those 36 hours is lost, the KITE APC binoculars are equipped with sensors that automatically put the electronics into sleep mode when you are not looking. The angle power control (APC) function detects positioning. When the instrument enters a vertical position, hanging from your neck or standing on a surface, it goes into sleep mode. From the moment it moves to a more horizontal position, stabilisation kicks in while watching. No swapping of buttons, no unintended battery drain. A timer function ensures it switches off completely after 90 minutes, regardless of position. And a battery indicator gives a timely indication of when new batteries are needed.
The APC STABILIZED is ergonomically shaped and features a 4cm-long focusing wheel that is easy to operate with 3 fingers. Although the APC STABILIZED looks different, it is as easy to use as any standard binoculars. The essence of this instrument, of course, lies in its stabilising ability. Optically, it is at the same performance level as the KITE PETREL, but under any circumstance of instability, be it your own hands, heavy breathing, windy conditions, etc... these binoculars will outperform the best binoculars in the world and give you the image and details invisible to any standard binoculars.
The stabilised binoculars are equipped with Kite's APC system. Without you having to flip the switch, the stabilising electronics are put into sleep mode when the instrument is in the resting position (hanging from the neck), and are automatically activated when you start observing again. This results in a huge increase in battery life and ease of use.
With its 2 AA batteries (not included), the stabiliser can be active for up to 36 hours. The APC STABILIZED binoculars are also perfectly usable without activating the stabilisation mechanism.
