With open-gate recording, the entire sensor is used, allowing you to work with optimal resolution and freedom for re-framing. Record in HDMI RAW in 5.9K resolution at 30 fps to external storage with a display for extra control over your videos. Internal recordings are also possible without a time limit in 5.8K at 30 fps or C4K at 60 fps. You can also record directly to an external SSD via the USB-C connection for further video flexibility. The dedicated timecode interface ensures professional synchronisation of image and sound.

The new Leica UX design is simple and intuitive to navigate. Improved touch and gesture control provides extra ease of use. Many functions can be adapted to individual preferences, so you can set up the camera for your personal use. Extensive connectivity options and interfaces ensure a seamless professional workflow. Slots for CFexpress Type B and UHS-II SD memory cards ensure fast data storage. The SL3-S has a USB-C port and an HDMI 2.1 output. For a wireless, stable connection, use Bluetooth and Wi-Fi with MIMO technology. DNG images are transferred to the Leica FOTOS app in seconds. iPhone or iPad users can connect the camera directly as a certified Apple accessory.

The Leica Vario-Elmarit SL 2.8/24-70 ASPH is a lens suitable for reportage, travel, studio, architecture and landscape photography. The lens has a large zoom range with a consistently high aperture of F2.8. This makes it a real asset as an all-round lens, making it also suitable for photographing portraits, close-ups and video productions. The extensive lens design, consisting of 19 elements in 15 groups, guarantees outstanding optical performance. The use of aspherical lens elements and glass elements with partial dispersion ensures excellent chromatic correction across the entire focal range. The internal focusing of the SL 24-70mm F/2.8 is based on a single, lightweight lens element and uses a silent stepping motor for fast and accurate autofocus. Thanks to the robust metal housing and protection against water and dust ingress, the Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70 f/2.8 ASPH can even be used under demanding conditions.
