With the Leica 11195 Summilux-SL 50mm f/1.4, you have a fast lens that excels in image quality and ease of use. The 50mm focal length delivers a natural image rendering that is suitable for a wide range of subjects, from portraits to travel photography. The large maximum aperture of f/1.4 ensures excellent performance in low-light situations and makes it possible to separate subjects from the background thanks to a beautifully blurred background. The optical design consists of 11 lens elements in 6 groups, including two aspherical elements.
The precise Voice-Coil autofocus motor focuses quickly, quietly and accurately. This makes the lens suitable not only for photography, but also for video productions where quiet autofocus is desired. The sturdy aluminium housing is finished to be dust- and splash-resistant and features an Aqua-Dura® coating on the outer lens elements, making water, dust and dirt less likely to adhere.
