The Lensbaby Soft Focus II 50mm f/2.5 optic is a 50mm lens with an aperture range of F/2.5 to F/22. The Lensbaby Soft Focus is a new, improved version of the first Optic Swap System. This lens is compatible with all current and older Lensbaby Optic Swap lens bodies. This lens features a 12-blade manually adjustable internal aperture via the unique and versatile drop-in magnetic aperture system.
At its widest aperture, the Soft Focus II createsëer an impressionistic image with subtle sharp details underneath. With a colour palette that tends towards soft pastels at larger apertures’s and a remarkably flat field of focus, this optic enables photos’s impossible to achieve with any other lens. With apertures F/8 or smaller, the Soft Focus II creates beautifully detailed, traditionally sharp images with a large central sharpness area and blurred edges on full-frame or 35mm film camera’s. Quickly changing the optical effect from impressionistic and full glow to contrasty and sharp is possible thanks to the internal 12-blade aperture that is set by turning the front of the optic.
