Leofoto PG-3 Gimbal head
The Leofoto PG-3 Gimbal head is a carbon fibre gimbal tripod head with an excellent strength-to-weight ratio - ideal for wildlife observation, sports photography, spotting scopes and other outdoor activities. The PG-3 tripod head weighs just 1.15 kg and is suitable for equipment up to 30 kg. The gimbal provides smooth panning and rotation with two independent controls. This allows the centre of gravity of the camera equipment to be perfectly balanced, making it quick and easy to navigate even with heavy lenses.
On the cardanic head, the camera can be adjusted 100 mm in height (vertically). For extended alignment of the camera in the horizontal axis, the separately available Leofoto VR-250 lens support is recommended. The supplied quick release plate (Arca compatible) features 1/4" and 3/8" mounting bolts and a removable, spring-loaded anti-rotation pin. As many long lenses have two tripod mounts (one for each size), connecting both mounts significantly improves stability and prevents possible plate twisting.
